چکیده

We prove local existence of solutions for a class of suitably renormalised coupled SPDE–ODE systems driven by space-time white noise, where the space dimension is equal to 2 or 3. This class includes in particular the FitzHugh–Nagumo system describing the evolution of action potentials of a large population of neurons, as well as models with multidimensional gating variables. The proof relies on the theory of regularity structures recently developed by M. Hairer, which is extended to include situations with semigroups that are not regularising in space. We also provide explicit expressions for the renormalisation constants, for a large class of cubic nonlinearities. June 16, 2015. An improved pseudospectral approximation of generalized Burger-Huxley and Fitzhugh-Nagumo equations

In this research paper, an improved Chebyshev-Gauss-Lobatto pseudospectral approximation of nonlinear Burger-Huxley and Fitzhugh- Nagumo equations have been presented. The method employs chebyshev Gauss-Labatto points in time and space to obtain spectral accuracy. The mapping has introduced and transformed the initial-boundary value non-homogeneous problem to homogeneous problem. The main probl...

Interconnected Turing patterns in three dimensions.

We study numerically the Turing pattern in three dimensions in a FitzHugh-Nagumo-type reaction-diffusion system. We have found that interconnected periodic domain structures such as a gyroid, Fddd, and perforated lamellar structures appear in three dimensions, which never exist in lower dimensions. The stability analysis of these structures is also performed by means of a mode expansion.

Pattern Formation of the FitzHugh-Nagumo Model: Cellular Automata Approach

FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) model is a famous Reaction-Diffusion System which first introduced for the conduction of electrical impulses along a nerve fiber. This model is also considered as an abstract model for pattern formation. Here, we have used the Cellular Automata method to simulate the pattern formation of the FHN model. It is shown that the pattern of this model is very similar to those...

Homoclinic Orbits of the FitzHugh-Nagumo Equation: The Singular-Limit

The FitzHugh-Nagumo equation has been investigated with a wide array of different methods in the last three decades. Recently a version of the equations with an applied current was analyzed by Champneys, Kirk, Knobloch, Oldeman and Sneyd [5] using numerical continuation methods. They obtained a complicated bifurcation diagram in parameter space featuring a C-shaped curve of homoclinic bifurcati...

Small Noise Asymptotic Expansions for Stochastic Pde’s.i the Case of a Dissipative Polynomially Bounded Non Linearity

We study a reaction-diffusion evolution equation perturbed by a Gaussian noise. Here the leading operator is the infinitesimal generator of a C0-semigroup of strictly negative type, the nonlinear term has at most polynomial growth and is such that the whole system is dissipative. The corresponding Itô stochastic equation describes a process on a Hilbert space with dissipative nonlinear drift an...
